A six-day combination idea moving from Chongqing’s riverside cityscape to Zhangjiajie’s landscape. Transport feasibility is checked first, with separate days for transfer and major scenic areas.

Mountain-city streets and nightscape
Explore a manageable combination of city lanes and river views. A cableway ride is optional; keep time for food and Hongyadong photography.

Transfer & arrival day · destination illustration
Travel to the Zhangjiajie region
Use the rail, air or other connection verified for your dates, allowing any changes and onward road travel. Do not place a major scenic visit on this transfer day.
DAY 4
Wulingyuan viewpoint day
Build the Wulingyuan viewpoint discussion around Yuanjiajie and Tianzi Mountain, confirming access, walking ability and comfort with heights. Plan scenic connections and breaks in advance.
DAY 5
Valleys and changing light
Choose a manageable Golden Whip Stream valley section and adapt its length to conditions. Agree on transport connections and breaks; change overnight areas only if this helps the Tianmen Mountain plan.
DAY 6
Tianmen Mountain and departure planning
Plan a separate Tianmen Mountain visit with a verified route and ticket type. A late departure or an extra night may be required; an early connection needs a revised day order.
